Welcome to Evolve Well Counselling

Farnham Common, Sunninghill, Windsor & Online

My name is Emma Groves and I offer attachment based counselling for children (aged 11+), teenagers, adults and older adults face to face in Farnham Common, Sunninghill and Windsor. I also provide counselling for adults online or by telephone nationwide. I hope the following information will answer some of your questions, but please feel free to contact me so we can discuss your specific needs, I would love to speak with you.

Who do you work with? What issues can you provide support for?

Sometimes life brings experiences that are difficult to make sense of or hard to come to terms with.

You may be carrying pain from difficult relationships or from experiences in childhood. You may be struggling after a major life change such as becoming a parent, separation or divorce, loss, illness, menopause, retirement, or another transition that has left you feeling unsettled.

If you are a young person, you may be feeling lost, isolated, unsure of who you are, or uncertain about your place within your family, friendships or the wider world.

You might be feeling sad, anxious, overwhelmed, angry or irritable. Perhaps you do not feel like yourself, are struggling to relate to others, or feel confused and alone.

You do not have to face things on your own.

I offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can slow down, make sense of what is happening for you, explore past experiences, and reconnect with yourself.

Clients I work with gain a deeper understanding of how their experiences and relationships have shaped them, and begin to find new ways forward that feel authentic and right for them.

I also offer counselling for adult adoptees. You can find out more here.

How Do You Work?

There are many different types of counselling, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Even when people face similar challenges, what feels helpful for one person may not work for another.

The most important part of therapy is finding someone you feel safe, understood, and comfortable with.

As a qualified and experienced Attachment Based Integrative Counsellor, I draw on a blend of approaches and techniques to meet your individual needs.

My work is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and curiosity — creating space for you to explore at your own pace.

We’ll regularly review our work together to ensure the process continues to feel right for you, and that you’re getting what you need from our sessions.

What Is Your Approach?

Every person’s story is unique, and so is the way we work together. My role is to offer a calm, grounded space where you can begin to feel safe enough to explore what’s really going on for you.

At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens through connection. Together, we’ll build a relationship based on trust, curiosity, and respect — one where you can bring your whole self. Whatever your circumstances, the pace and focus of our work will always be guided by you.

Counselling isn’t something that’s done to you; it’s a collaborative process. I’ll walk alongside you as you make sense of your experiences, explore what may be holding you back, and begin to reconnect with who you are and what feels right for you.

Who Do You Work With?

I work with children and teenagers (age 11+), adults and older adults, supporting people through a wide range of life challenges.

Support can be short-term, with just a few sessions, or longer-term, depending on your needs. Adoption work tends to be longer term, although we will decide together what’s most helpful for you.

I offer counselling face-to-face, online, or over the telephone, Please note I only see children and teenagers face to face.

Face-to-face sessions are held at my offices in either Farnham Common or Sunninghill conveniently accessible from areas such as Ascot, Sunningdale, Virginia Water, Egham, Englefield Green, Chobham, Bagshot, Windsor, Eton, Slough, Maidenhead, Wooburn Green, Cookham, Burnham, and Beaconsfield.

Who are you and what are your qualifications?

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent many years working in the corporate world in sales and events. After a significant life event, I realised I wanted something more meaningful — work that allowed for real connection and personal growth. That led me to the charity sector, and eventually to counselling, which felt like a natural home.

Having sought therapy myself at different points in my life, including during my own journey as an adoptee and understanding my own neurodivergence, I know how transformative it can be to feel truly heard and understood. Those experiences inspired me to offer others the same kind of safe, supportive space that has helped me heal and grow.

My clients describe me as warm, compassionate, and down to earth. I bring calm, curiosity and gentle challenge when it’s needed. I believe that change happens through connection — by exploring your story together, at your pace, we can make sense of what’s been holding you back and find new ways forward that feel more authentic and aligned with who you really are.
